The Interns won Best Of Solutions at the IBM TechConnect

Marist College and IBM have combined their resources in the Marist/IBM Joint Study program. This program is focused on, among other things, the research and development of the OpenFlow networking standard.

The team has developed, among other things, the Avior GUI for the Floodlight controller as well as the OpenDaylight controller, the Quality of Service system for Floodlight, the Port Down Reconciliation module for Floodlight, and a Plexxi driver.

We are currently working directly with ADVA Optical Networking and other vendors to enhance the SDN capabilities of optical networks.

The OpenFlow team here at Marist College is proud to present the new 'OpenFlow at Marist' website! Our team is a partnership between IBM employees and Marist students as well as faculty. We are currently developing and testing software defined networking through use of the opensource Floodlight and OpenDaylight controllers for OpenFlow, the Avior project for managing flows on a network, and other pursuits. This website features bios about each team member, a blog of our activity, Avior and Plexxi information, and more. Please feel free to look up what we are doing, download Avior or Plexxi, or to contact us if you have any questions.
